Where do intelligence services, the Security Council and the joint situation center stand?

The Chancellor promised quick successes and a good mood. However, after 100 days of a black-red coalition, the results of his government have been mixed.

And today after six months?

What has been done to implement the agreements from the coalition agreement of 10 April 2025 on the establishment of a National Security Council, a Joint Situation Center and a National Crisis Response Center in the Federal Chancellery?

There are a number of proposals from scientific analysis for reforming the German security architecture in times of acute threats. Previous weaknesses such as inadequate communication between intelligence services, ministries, decision-makers and parliament have been identified. But also a lack of interest, knowledge and awareness of how to handle intelligence well among decision-makers, parliament and the public. What has been done so far? Time is of the essence!
