Three young women, caught between self-determination and societal expectations.

Three young friends confined within four walls. They find solace in their shared apartment, but in the outside world, they encounter sexism, discrimination, and the constraints of capitalism. These forces close in on them ever more closely. The walls of their shared home begin to crumble.

Chayas is a performative work by Azaria Hammond about three young women navigating between self-determination and societal expectations. Is their expression of sexuality and their drive for success an act of emancipation or a form of self-exploitation?
