Introspective indie pop between melancholy and catharsis
The title of their second album, "When You Come Back I Have So Much to Tell You," sounds like a promise—and simultaneously carries a subtle warning.
For Dream, Ivory, the Californian duo of brothers Christian and Louie Baello, the album was created during a period of personal distance and creative block. Their parents returned to the Philippines, and Louie moved to Los Angeles—for the first time as adults, the brothers were separated and musically adrift.
An album of alienation and new beginnings
Only Christian's conscious withdrawal and attempt to rediscover himself opened up a new creative space. Songs like "Lost Angeles" and later "At Zero" mark the turning point: Dream, Ivory found each other again and began to reflect on their own melancholy with subtle irony. The result is an atmospheric album that blends vulnerable indie pop with emotional depth.Dream, Ivory live—music that connects
Live, the songs truly come alive. At sold-out concerts in Paris, London, and Los Angeles in 2025, the duo transformed their introspective songs into intense, almost cathartic live experiences.Supporting them: losers!
A must-see for fans of emotionally resonant indie pop with depth.
