Regine Kuschke and ‹mel› (Christina Giakoumelou)
Of dreams and promises, of eeriness and trust, of devotion and betrayal: the exhibition by “mel” (Christina Giakoumelou) and Regine Kuschke explores fragile, intense moments of existence. It leads viewers into a world that seems familiar and foreign, wild and disturbing at the same time.
A quiet melancholy and delicate tension pervade the works, attentive to the fragile and the unspoken. Between closeness and unease, a silent resonance unfolds – an echo of what was and what can hardly be grasped.
Christina Giakoumelou and Regine Kuschke, both master students at the HdK/Udk Berlin – an inspiring friendship that has developed over the years into a continuous dialogue and now finds expression in this joint exhibition.
