We are not alone. An alien has been sighted. It seems to be searching for its home and contact with others of its kind. Mysterious events and a trail of devastation follow. An FBI agent takes on the case and investigates the conflict between science and the paranormal.
But as she investigates the creature that threatens to transform society, it suddenly becomes an observer itself. A theatrical evening between The X-Files and the fear of the unknown, full of mystery, action, and humor.
Whose story is this? Whose gaze produces reality? In this monologue, the Doris Crea Kollektiv ventures into the science fiction genre to challenge the practice of othering from at least two perspectives. They play with prejudice and projection, and with the extreme angles of observation. As the narrating agent reaches the limits of her own perception and truth, the alien becomes at turns a witness, a suspect, and finally stares back in disbelief. This dialogue of gazes explores what we perceive as foreign. Because the true unknown is usually not somewhere out there, but almost always within ourselves.
