The acoustic duo from the USA was originally founded in Berlin in 2008. The musicians are now based in El Paso, Texas.

The Division Men
The band consists of its founder Jesus Spencer Portillo (vocals/acoustic guitar) and his wife Caroline Rippy-Portillo (vocals/bass guitar).
The name “The Division Men” came from the idea that artists from all over the world could collaborate regardless of their location. The band has a distinctive sound, described as dark, romantic, ethereal, and intense.
Their fourth studio album was released in 2025 on Motor Music. A three-month European tour is scheduled from October to December 2025.
