DIETER alias THE COCK

Under the title Aber bitte mit Schlager (But with Schlager, please), the artist will present a musical retrospective of German popular culture from the 1950s to the 1970s.

He will combine well-known Schlager songs, tearjerkers, and rock evergreens from these three decades with his own witty commentary and recollections of the defining media, social, and style phenomena of the time.


From the economic miracle and the ZDF Hit Parade to sex education à la Oswald Kolle, Hahne's programme reconstructs West Germany's attitude to life between the conformity of the post-war decades and the cultural awakening. The format moves deliberately between homage and ironic refraction, providing insight into an era whose pop aesthetics and zeitgeist continue to shape the collective memory to this day.


Admission is free and the show starts at 8 pm.
