Touring exhibition at Pankow City Hall
Organised by the Initiative Offene Gesellschaft, the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin and the Berlin Migration Council, the exhibition creates a direct line between the people of Berlin and their administration. Ideas from civil society are collected and taken to Berlin's city halls.
Six large displays show the results of the Berlin Democracy Day, which takes place every year on 15 September. Suggestions for equal democratic participation were collected and visions developed in numerous district-specific expert rounds, a digital survey and personal interviews with civil society actors.
The contents of the exhibition are divided into four thematic areas: Citizenship, Funding, Representation and Protection. Representing the commitment of numerous organisations and volunteers, two people per topic have their say with concrete concerns for improving democratic participation in Berlin.
