“Paradies” marks the end of the anniversary year of the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank. The contemporary artist and curator Christian Thoelke explores cityscapes from the Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank that bear witness to a politically and culturally divided Germany.

He juxtaposes them with his own works of abandoned GDR architecture, in which he reflects on the profound changes in his living environment after reunification as well as the conflicts and potentials of social upheaval.
The guided tour is included in the admission price (5 euros, concessions 3 euros).
