Sophie Trost Combo
The band led by Berlin-based singer-songwriter Sophie Trost blends personal experiences with social themes in their songs. Their music moves between lightheartedness and seriousness; it is danceable while leaving room for improvisation. Stylistically, influences from jazz, bossa nova, reggae, Latin American rhythms, pop, and chanson come together.
The band’s distinctive sound arises from their interplay: clarinet and vocals shape the melodies, complemented by guitars, bass, and percussion. This creates a warm, multi-layered sound that is both catchy and nuanced.
In May 2025, the band released their debut album “Into This World We Plunge,” which has been featured on various cultural radio programs and is broadcast on stations including radio3, hr2-kultur, and SWR2.
The concert is part of the Fête de la Musique’s open-air music program and invites you to experience the band in a relaxed, open-air atmosphere.
