Festive Christmas songs from the Middle Ages
Enjoy the traditional Christmas concert with VOX NOSTRA. This Berlin-based vocal ensemble, featuring soloists, will transport listeners to the archaic musical world of the Middle Ages with Gregorian chants over 1000 years old and early polyphonic compositions.
The concert will feature the most beautiful Christmas classics from European cathedrals and monasteries, such as "Puer natus est nobis" (A child is born to us), "Alleluia - Dies sanctificatus" (Hallelujah - Holy Day), "Viderunt omnes fines terrae salutare" (All the ends of the earth see salvation), and the oldest three-part Christmas carol in German, "Sys willekommen, Heirre Kerst" (Welcome, Holy Christmas).
The Church of the Holy Cross has wonderful underfloor heating. Those who wish to experience the concert lying down are welcome to bring a yoga mat or blanket.
