Café am Nil: Love & Passion Show

In her show, she unfurls the broad sequins of this diverse dance style like a magnificent carpet from the Middle East. With Katharina Joumana's ensemble "Oriental Roses" and the "Azadeh Dancers" from her dance school of the same name, she presents wonderful choreographies in dreamy and imaginative costumes. The costumes were specially designed for the new show and made in Cairo.


And, as every year, Café am Nil features outstanding guest dancers, such as Esmeralda Colabone from São Paulo. This expressive dancer has danced in almost every country in the Middle East, impresses with her unique, artistic dance style, and is an internationally acclaimed star of the oriental dance scene.


Also returning to Café am Nil for the first time in a long time is Mohamed Kazafy from Cairo, a leading figure in Egyptian folk dance. Mohamed Kazafy's powerful dances give Café am Nil a truly Egyptian touch. He is one of Egypt's most important choreographers and a member of UNESCO's CID "United Nations of Dance."


Viviana, the enchanting dancer from Berlin, is joining Café am Nil for the first time, as is Erika Gamal, the newcomer and winner of the 2023 Cleopatra Festival in Cairo. Viviana and Erika bring a breath of fresh air with their graceful dances on world-class stages.
Kristina, who grew up in the Oriental Roses Ensemble at the Azadeh dance school, impresses with her fluid hip movements.


And last but not least, the founder of Café am Nil, Katharina Joumana, will be on stage herself, with her captivating dances and charismatic presence. Café am Nil immerses you in a sensual, exuberant celebration full of the colors and sounds of the Orient, filled with love and devotion to life, and allows the audience to share in the beauty of oriental dance and music culture.
