Powerful New Folk – for 20 years!

Whether traditional folk songs or celebrated original compositions, Broom Bezzums have the talent to continually bring their music to life. Since Mark Bloomer and Andrew Cadie met in Germany in 2005, they have become one of the country's leading folk bands.

Their close harmonies, combined with fiddle, Northumbrian small pipes, mandolin, guitar, and percussion, transport listeners to a captivating world of sound. Michaela Haitz's captivating female voice harmonizes perfectly with the two, adding another dimension to their traditional Christmas program. Together, they create an atmosphere that radiates warmth and festive magic.

But it's not just their musical virtuosity that sets the band apart. With humorous and concise announcements in (almost) perfect German, they create a special connection with their audience – authentic, passionate, and full of energy.

Her own songs take center stage: "Cold Winds Blow" made it into the German radio charts, while her shanty "Keep Hauling" provided the soundtrack to the opening scene of the British blockbuster Fisherman's Friends. Her current album, "No Smaller Than the World," has been critically acclaimed, was Album of the Week on several BBC stations, and made it onto the German Record Critics' Award list.
