This dance production explores the experiences of people who have endured the hardships of war in various parts of the world. Powerful expressions and intense movements convey a spectrum of emotions, from confusion and fear to the triumph of overcoming pain.

Fusing traditional sounds with modern dance elements creates a connection that makes the stories immediate and tangible, while simultaneously linking the past with the present and old roots with new realities. The choreography conveys emotional intensity, deep conflicts and memories, sometimes flowing gently and other times abruptly and painfully, embodying inner turmoil.
BETWEEN HERE AND THERE is a moving appeal for compassion and understanding, reminding us that behind the statistics and news reports about war and displacement are real people with real emotions and experiences. Supported by contemporary dance and traditional music, the stories of survivors interweave different cultures and the resulting challenges.
The MAHER DANCE COMPANY unites dancers from diverse backgrounds and incorporates Middle Eastern and European dance styles to highlight social issues from various perspectives.
