On the last weekend in August, visitors to the Keramik-Museum Berlin can once again rummage, dawdle, buy and talk shop to their heart's content in the two museum courtyards from 11 am to 5 pm.
The Förderverein KMB, which runs the ceramics museum without public financial support, has once again received donations of many great and interesting vessels and objects from the past for this sale.
Members of the Förderverein KMB are also represented with their own stands. In addition to bric-a-brac and wonderful kitsch, vases, bowls, figurines, objects or tableware (service / service pieces) made of porcelain, stoneware, faience, earthenware or earthenware can also be bought.
Fine unique pieces by recognized artists or simple, rustic and whimsical ceramic objects are on offer, as well as one or two pieces from well-known manufacturers (e.g. KPM, Rosenthal, Hedwig Bollhagen, Karlsruhe, Velten-Vordamm, Monika Maetzel, etc.).
For the reduced admission price of 2 euros, you can also visit the current special exhibitions:
- "Coffee or tea? Jug shapes through the ages
- "Unique vessels by leading German ceramic artists after 1950"
- "Art ceramics from Vienna" (cabinet exhibition)
