Diversity and relevance of contemporary global art
From 11 September to 25 October 2025, the BBA Gallery, in collaboration with Art Maisons Marios and Prazzle Arts, will present the debut group exhibition ‘Artists of Our Time’. The exhibition will feature 15 contemporary artists at the forefront of today's cultural landscape and pay tribute to international artists who are shaping contemporary art.
The show brings together artistic positions from different regions of the world that reflect current social issues, cultural trends and individual perspectives. The aim is to open a dialogue about the art of our time and to give visibility to voices that actively shape the international art scene.
IN FOCUS: ART IN THE HERE AND NOW
‘Artists of Our Time’ challenges the art world's usual focus on retrospectives and posthumous recognition by bringing to the fore artists whose work reflects topicality, a spirit of experimentation and cultural relevance.
Participating artists include Israel Padonu, Boluwatife Oyediran, Joseph Aina, Kwaku Osei Owusu Achim, David Komaré, Kofi Awuyah, Daniel Roibal, Sebastian Jauregui, Qhamanade Maswana, Sisqo Ndombe, Komla Letsu Philip, Ousmane Niang, Ishmael Armah, Jade Cassidy and Matthew Eguavoen.
IMMERSIVE CONTEMPORARY EXPERIENCE
The exhibition presents works of painting and sculpture in direct dialogue with the artists, offering an immersive experience of contemporary artistic practice. The accompanying publication, Culture Kaleidoscope, serves as a living archive of 100 international artists and reinforces the exhibition's mission to make cultural protagonists visible in real time.Accompanying the exhibition, panel discussions, performances and other events will take place throughout its duration to promote dialogue and interaction around contemporary practice.
CURATORIAL AND EDITORIAL VISION
The exhibition was curated by Marios Djamo Ngassam, founder of Art Maison Marios, and deliberately avoids institutional gatekeeping structures. The focus is on immediate visibility and the promotion of emerging voices.Additional information
