Modern architecture between Gesundbrunnenviertel and Rehberge Park

The new bike tour leads to modern buildings that were realized in 1920 with the founding of the Wedding district on the northern edge of the old inner-city residential areas between Badstrasse, Müllerstrasse and Volkspark Rehberge.

In addition to today's World Heritage housing complexes, there are remarkable testimonies of early industrial and working-class culture, life reforms around 1900 and today, and fantastic green spaces. Local architects such as the little-known town planning officer Friedrich Hellwig, the renowned offices of Mebes / Emmerich and Jean Krämer and the internationally known Ludwig Mies van der Rohe contributed to the quality of this area.
