On 7 December 2025 at 4 p.m., Berlin's DUO VOLANTE – Dagmar Flemming (harp) and Yasuko Fuchs-Imanaga (flute and piccolo) – will be performing at the hospital church in Wuhlgarten. Under the motto ‘All Originals,’ the two virtuoso musicians will present a varied programme with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Gioacchino Rossini, Gabriel Fauré and other well-known and lesser-known composers.

In addition to their impressive musical skills, the duo will delight audiences with charming anecdotes and fascinating background stories about the pieces and their composers. The concert will not only open up special worlds of sound, but also provide personal insights into the lives and works of musical ‘originals’.

A concert that will captivate music lovers and curious listeners alike.

Dagmar Flemming (harp) was born in Berlin and studied at the University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music. She furthered her training with Maria Graf, Edward Witsenburg and Andrew Lawrence King. Today she teaches at the Berlin-Steglitz Music School and performs in orchestras, as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. Together with her daughter, she founded the harp duo ‘Saitenzauber’. She feels at home in all musical eras and combines her concerts with moderating commentary. One focus is on original works for harp and historical instruments, especially Celtic music. In 2002, a concert recording was made for ORB.

Yasuko Fuchs-Imanaga (flute and piccolo) was born in Japan and studied flute at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo. After graduating, she continued her training at the Vienna Conservatory under Prof. Hechtl, graduating with unanimous honours. In 1985, she won the International Competition for Wind Chamber Music in Graz and was appointed professor of flute at the Vienna Conservatory. She played as principal flutist in Viennese chamber orchestras and regularly at the Vienna Volksoper. In 1994, she moved to Berlin and made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 1995 with Mozart's Flute Concerto in G major. Since then, she has been in high demand as a substitute with the Berlin Philharmonic, the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin and the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper. She is a member of the Musagetes Quintet Berlin and is passionate about chamber music.
