Together in the children's world of the Jewish Museum Berlin

In ANOHA - the Children's World of the Jewish Museum Berlin - children take centre stage. 150 different animal sculptures and a giant round wooden ark offer children space to run around, but also to reflect on the respectful coexistence of humans, animals and nature.

450 exhibits from all continents in the Berlin Magic Museum are dedicated to magical practices from all over the world. In addition to lucky bowls from China and ritual masks from Africa, you can also see instruments of torture from Europe. You can test your own magical skills with games and puzzles. The brave can gaze into a crystal ball or draw a tarot card.

Discover more than 300 exhibits with highlights such as the PainStatione, the GDR game machine Poly-Play and Pong in all its variations. The legendary Nimrod can also be found here. Starting in the 1950s, you can also explore games culture beyond consoles: play Pong in the 1970s, Space Invaders in the 1980s and Super Mario in the 1990s in authentically furnished rooms. You can try out rare originals every Monday from 6.00 pm. The Virtual Reality Worlds are sure to be a highlight for the whole family.

Agents and their stories at the Spy Museum

On a multimedia journey through the history of espionage, you will learn everything from the first secret writings from antiquity to the present day with the NSA debate, sophisticated spying techniques, legendary espionage cases and spectacular secret operations. The laser course is a real challenge and will delight all members of the family.
Anne Frank Museum

With the help of videos with interviews with contemporary witnesses and tactile objects, you can immerse yourself in the world of Anne Frank, her family and her friends. The exhibition also tells of the persecution and the time in hiding. Six areas each show one stage of her life. There are numerous panels with fascinating detailed information. Visitors can even help shape this section of the exhibition by highlighting individual panels that are particularly important to them.

Experiential tour of the Communication Museum

The Kommunikationsmuseum in Berlin offers exciting adventure tours especially for families. On family Sundays, young scientists can experiment with new and old communication technology such as invisible ink and intricate codes.
Jumping fun in the trampoline hall

The JUMP House is a great way to pass the time on rainy days in Berlin. Here, young and old can really let off steam on 120 trampolines. Various areas and challenges provide variety. In VideoJUMP, jumpers can compete against each other in a video game using AR technology.
Exciting insights into the world at the Museum für Naturkunde

How does our planet work? How does life develop on our planet? The Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin asks these and other questions and presents you with an exciting insight into the workings of nature. From the system of the earth, the cosmos & the solar system, birds and native animals to the great sour animal world, which in 2022 also expects Tristan, the North American Tyrannosaurus Rex, in the museum again. He is the superstar among the dinosaurs and the Museum für Naturkunde is showing one of the best-preserved skeletons in the world.

Children want to experience something in Berlin even when the clouds are dark. The Museum for Film and Television offers workshops for children aged eight and over, where they can make their own short animated film in stop-motion.
Marvel at the German Museum of Technology

All vehicle enthusiasts will be in for a real treat here: In addition to the Douglas C-47B Skytrain sultana bomber, which hangs directly above the museum portal, there is a saloon car from Kaiser Wilhelm II, the Auntie Ju airliner, an extremely rare Rumpler Tropfenwagen and even a ship simulator for aspiring captains. In two old engine sheds, you can discover historic steam locomotives and everything to do with train travel. Right next door, the Science Centre Spectrum awaits you with fascinating experiments involving electricity, magnets and bizarre light effects. Over 150 interactive experiment stations turn science and technology into a special experience. Attractive and astonishing phenomena tempt you to experiment on your own. Basic scientific contexts, scientific backgrounds and technical operating principles are revealed in a playful way.

Children's University at Humboldt-Universität

The Humboldt University regularly offers special lectures for children. For example, the little students learn about the culture of the Romans or the inner life of trees. Child-friendly information stands teach all kinds of topics related to learning in a playful way.
Planetarium

A great activity to do with children is a visit to the Berlin Planetarium. The Archenhold-Sternwarte as well as the Zeiss-Großplanetarium have special offers in store. Dry facts are wrapped up in imaginative star and moon stories during the shows.
Bim & Boom children's playland

Children of all ages can let off steam to their heart's content at the gigantic indoor playground Bim & Boom. The trampoline, football, obstacle course, maze and many more adventure areas are great fun and the catering area is the perfect place to refuel.

When thundery weather is on the cards in Berlin, the Berlin Dungeon is the perfect place to get spooked. Brave children aged ten and over roam through Berlin's darkest past. Scarily disguised actors provide additional thrills.
Adventure Aquarium

Berlin may be a long way from the sea, but there are still underwater creatures to marvel at in the capital. The Aquarium at Zoo Berlin attracts visitors with a crocodile hall and terrariums with giant snakes, lizards and turtles.
Children's theatre

Fantasy is the elixir of childhood - the Theater Morgenstern in Friedenau puts on imaginative, classic and modern children's plays. Another highlight for children is theatre crafting at the Figurentheater Grashüpfer in Treptow. Here, children make masks and finger puppets. You can find more recommended children's theatres here.
Be creative

Let your creativity run wild with children in the Paint your style ceramics workshop. For new parents, there is a great offer to have baby footprints stamped on plates and cups. At the Klax creative workshop on Schönhauser Allee, children and adults alike can take part in pottery and drawing courses and do handicrafts together on family Saturdays. Another tip is the FEZ KREATIVHAUS, where children can have fun in workshops on topics ranging from music and dance to crafts.
Children's cinema

A visit to the cinema is a good idea for anyone looking for relaxed indoor entertainment with children in Berlin. A tip for parents with babies is the Berliner Kinderwagenkino at Babylon. Every Wednesday, adults can watch films here together with their little ones. There are extra changing tables, space for pushchairs and the film volume is baby-ear friendly.
Football at Kickerworld

Even when it's raining, children don't want to miss out on exercise. The KICKERworld in Spandau doesn't just boast an indoor football pitch - if you want to play football in a different way, you can try your hand at bubble football. If the children are still not out of breath afterwards, try out the integrated paintball facility together.
For the older ones: Explore Berlin's underground

From the Berliner Unterwelten e.V. organises exciting tours through bunkers from the Second World War, disused underground tunnels and brewery cellars. This activity is suitable for children aged 13 and over.
Play an instrument

At the Sounding Museum at Gesundbrunnen, you can not only listen to music, but also touch it. Here, children of all ages can try out instruments and get to know them better in workshops. The Musikinstrumenten-Museum also organises exciting concerts and events for young music fans.

Make the fairy tale of Peter Pan come true! In the wind tunnel of the Hurricane Factory near Schönefeld, anyone who wants to can fly - without any magic. Some say that floating in the glass wind tunnel feels like skydiving.

The Naturkundemuseum in Berlin impresses with its creative guided tours, which are suitable for children from the age of five. The torchlight tours through the unlit museum are particularly exciting. On Children's Sunday, the kids go on geological voyages of discovery. The microscopy courses are exciting for older children.

Out into the ring, says the chaotically colourful Wandering Circus Cabuwazi: a circus paradise where children become artists themselves, learn juggling and tightrope walking or are taught the art of clowning.

Other great facilities for children are the Legoland Discovery Centre, the Labyrinth Children's Museum in Berlin Mitte or the MACHmit! Museum. The Bröhan Museum for Art Deco impresses with a varied children's programme, where the little ones can embark on a detective puzzle tour, for example.
