The Blue Hour – 10th Anniversary Concert

LiveTen years after the release of his acclaimed album “The Blue Hour,” Italian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Federico Albanese returns to the dome of the Zeiss Großplanetarium for a special anniversary concert.

“The Blue Hour” is dedicated to that fleeting moment between day and night when light and darkness meet. It is a time of transition, when contours blur, memories and dreams seem tangible, and new possibilities emerge. Inspired by this atmosphere, Albanese uses piano, electronic sounds, and cinematic soundscapes to create a musical space between closeness and distance, stillness and movement. In the unique setting of the planetarium, the concert invites the audience to immerse themselves in this suspended liminal world—a moment in which time seems to pass more slowly and the view of the cosmos merges with the music.

Federico Albanese is one of the defining voices of contemporary instrumental music. In addition to his solo albums, he composes music for film, television, ballet, and other artistic projects. His works are performed internationally and blend classical instruments with electronic elements to create a distinctive sound.
