Persecuted and humiliated by the king’s ministers, she seeks to mold the self-absorbed Frederick William IV into a liberal king of the people, until the iron dungeon door slams shut.
Beside her, the gruff stage villain Michael Kinkel plays his satirical game and conjures up a past that seeks to clarify today’s issues:
