Cora Chilcott presents Romantic and contemporary poems by Heine, Eichendorff, Ringelnatz and others, set to music by Hartmut Behrsing.

Cora Chilcott trained as an actress at the University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg, followed by vocal studies including work with Stella Doufexis (Komische Oper Berlin) and a masterclass in chanson with Gisela May. From 2001 to 2014 she was an actress at the Berliner Ensemble, and has toured Germany and various European countries with her solo theatre and musical programmes.

Hartmut Behrsing, a film composer for GDR television, looks back on a long career as principal trombonist at the Komische Oper, with the Jazz-Optimisten Berlin, and with the Dixieland Allstars Berlin. He is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of oldtime jazz in the GDR. As a composer of chamber and symphonic works and as director of the Jazz Collegium Berlin, he has earned a reputation that extends well beyond Germany's borders.
