When Arthur Schnitzler published his story in 1926, it sent shivers down the spines of Viennese society. The unflinching exposure of the inner turmoil of a respected married couple shocked the public at the time.

After Schnitzler's death, the story was adapted numerous times, the most famous of which is probably Stanley Kubrick's film Eyes Wide Shut, starring Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.

Now, actor Andreas Pietschmann and musician Stefan Weinzierl take the audience on a nocturnal journey. In search of the hidden desires of the psyche, the duo weaves Schnitzler's narrative into an atmospheric tapestry of sound, language, and music – intense, sensual, and surprising.
