SUMMER. SECOND ROUND

With her A/V performance ‘SUMMER. SECOND ROUND’, Sonae addresses the challenges of the topic using the creative languages of video, music and performance; she revisits it and develops the theme further – exactly as those responsible seem to need until action is finally taken.

This is also reflected in the subsequent hybrid set together with Shaxtar, in which both want to find out how the issue can be conveyed musically throughout the evening.

Sonae is a producer, live performer and DJ in the field of experimental electronic music. She is part of the label collective Monika Werkstatt.

Shaxtar is a DJ and producer working in dub, UK dubstep and deconstructed music, and is currently Sonae's mentee in the New Talents Ruhr support programme.

The performance and hybrid set form the aftershow to the exhibition at Neurotitan Am Puls der Zeit – Thoughts on the Climate Crisis.
