Dance Theatre – Physical Theatre – Turkish-German Theatre Festival
ANGELUS takes its starting point from Walter Benjamin's passage "Angel of History" and interweaves text, music, and dance/action. It tells the story of the third generation of families who migrated from the Anatolian provinces to the metropolis—their eyes fixed on the catastrophes of the past, yet on a path toward the future.
The piece is a physical and visual meditation on the questions: What will you do with the inherited feudal and patriarchal trauma and violence? Can you create a narrative of healing from this wreckage?
