Opportunities, limits, and smart rules for immigration
Russia is not only waging the largest war of aggression since 1945 against Ukraine but also threatening our liberal order. Fear of uncontrolled migration is dividing our democracies. As a result, even young people are turning away from the EU.
- What visions do we have for our unsettled continent?
- What can we learn from history?
- Where can we find inspiration, and how can it be transformed into policies that win majorities—for a Europe without wars?
You are invited to engage in conversation with experts in migration policy. Gerald Knaus is the founding director of the think tank European Stability Initiative (ESI). He advises governments and institutions in Europe on issues of displacement, migration, and human rights. His daughter Francesca Knaus is co-founder of the European Debate Initiative (EDI), a youth organization based in Copenhagen, and Knut Abraham, Member of the Bundestag, is the Federal Government’s Coordinator for German-Polish Cooperation.
