Kurt Kuhfeld sings about love with chansons from the 1920s and 30s and select pop and musical theater gems. Together with pianist Kenneth Berkel, he celebrates the splendor and vulnerability of the greatest of all themes: first love, jealousy and loneliness, great disappointments, and, of course, the hope for a happy ending.
Poetic, silly, ecstatic, intimate, and just a little bit kitsch.
With music by Friedrich Hollaender, Mischa Spoliansky, Kurt Weill, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Michel Legrand, and others.
- Kurt Kuhfeld, vocals
- Kenneth Berkel, piano
