New York based indie band Monobloc is coming on a European tour

But the younger generation is already waiting in the wings:
at least that's what you think when you listen to the great singles “I'm Just
Trying To Love You,” “Take Me,” and “Where Is My Garden” by the New York band
Monobloc.

The five musicians come from the still vibrant New York DIY scene and are now ready to make their mark in Europe. The BBC already loves their songs, and singer Timothy Waldron's voice is not easily forgotten. The Strokes comparison is perhaps limited to their coolness; stylistically, they are a little different.

Guitarist Nina Lüders once said in an interview with a New York online magazine that the Monobloc sound was best described as “experimental Sovietwave-inspired indie rock,” while bassist Michael ‘Mop’ Silverglad swears by “minimalist post-punk with pop sensibilities.” Somehow, both descriptions fit.

In July, you'll have the chance to see the New Yorkers live in Germany: Monobloc will be playing in Berlin as a solo show.
