Dating and intimacy are topics that fascinate people, but how can they incorporate them into their writing in an authentic, accessible, ethical, and exciting way?
Join the recurring creative writing workshop at Berlin Well led by award-winning authors Cat Hepburn (BBC, Edinburgh Fringe) and Demi Anter (Glastonbury, Poetry Ireland), which explores everything related to intimacy and dating.
This event is aimed at all writers, whether beginners or advanced, who want to refresh their writing, put their own dating experiences on paper and find out how to convey intimacy without cringe.
In this one-day workshop, You will analyse examples from a variety of literary works and use easy-to-understand writing exercises to find out how to approach these topics across genres.
Together, You will explore writing about passionate encounters, lust, and everything in between in a fun and supportive environment.
In this five-hour workshop, you can expect topics such as:
• Writing about romance and intimacy without cringe
• Conveying sensuality in poetry and non-fiction
• Structuring scenes in fictional works
• The challenges of writing about personal experiences
• Writing with all the senses
Please note:
If you wish, you are welcome to bring an idea or a short first draft to discuss with the group (optional).
Due to the nature of the content, the workshop is only open to FLINTA and those aged 18 and over.
Please note that this is not an erotica workshop, although we will be discussing explicit content.
Snacks, tea and coffee are included during the workshop.
The five-hour class will be interrupted by breaks. The workshop room is located on the ground floor and is accessible without steps.
