Working with Family Members in Mediation

The project “What Voice Do We Have?” will be presented, along with the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum’s experiences working with relatives.

The project “Art, Loot, and Restitution—Forgotten Life Stories” also provides insights into the current status of educational outreach formats involving relatives. Participants will reflect on experiences and challenges in working with relatives, discuss ethical and methodological questions, and develop strategies for participatory educational outreach formats. This will provide them with inspiration to incorporate the perspectives of family members into their own educational projects and to integrate biographical approaches into their work. What role and approaches can the intersection of personal biographies and object biographies offer in this context? What do the descendants themselves have to say about this?
