Light Images Made from Paper
Colors begin to glow as soon as they catch the light. In this workshop, we’ll create window decorations using translucent paper.
Layer by layer, colored shapes are cut from transparent paper and set within a clear cardboard border. Lines hold the fragments together, while inside a vibrant interplay of colors, shapes, and overlays unfolds. Like a luminous mosaic, an image emerges that is not static but continues to take shape with the light.
Through the interplay of material, transparency, and contrast, poetic compositions, abstract landscapes, or free-form worlds of color emerge, finding their place right on the window.
