Reading & Film

Heike Goldbach, author of his biography, will introduce the actor Willy Fritsch—one of the most popular stars of German film history in the 1920s and 1930s—during a multimedia reading.

Following the reading, the cinema at Kulturhaus Spandau will screen the film “Glückskinder” (1936)—a comedy that so captivated Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino that he even used the timeless song “Ich wollt’, ich wär’ ein Huhn” from the film as the soundtrack for a scene in one of his own movies, sending it around the world.
