A collaborative painting project with Johannes Mundinger
A major renovation is planned in the near future. Galerie Parterre and four other cultural institutions will have to vacate their premises. To meet the empty gallery space with optimism and to ensure that the year does not end on a dull note, Galerie Parterre and artist Johannes Mundinger are inviting the public to take part in a collaborative painting project.
Together, side by side, and on top of each other, the walls of Galerie Parterre will be painted to create a collective work free of individual authorship. Part of the concept is that the area that has just been worked on with concentration can be painted over in the next second.
Children aged seven and up, teenagers, adults, and artists can redesign and reimagine our gallery walls. In an artistic exchange among the participants, abstract motifs will be created using selected colors.
In the evening, the new artwork will be inaugurated with music by the ensemble Tiny Shot Posse. Nils Feldmann, Aldtie Aann, and Marcel Siegel play transparent jazz with modal references and longer arcs of tension, subtly connecting the space with sound and band.
Admission is free and all materials will be provided.
