Over the past few centuries, great poetry has often been parodied, with famous lines satirized and recited with mischievous delight. But this fun should be accompanied by a touch of seriousness: alongside the parody, the original—to which everyone ultimately wants to pay homage.

Cora Chilcott, an actress with the BERLINER ENSEMBLE from 2001 to 2014, has performed in a wide variety of solo acting roles at venues including the Berliner Volksbühne, as well as on behalf of the German Shakespeare Society and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
