European choral music between Renaissance and Romanticism

European choral music between Renaissance and Romanticism presented by the oratorio choir of the Berlin Cathedral Choir under the direction of Adrian Büttemeier and Florian Stocker on the organ.

In the middle of the hot season, the Berlin Cathedral Choir offers a refreshing concert with summery classics of European choral music. A varied mix of masterpieces combines old masters such as Michael Praetorius, Pierre Passereau and Thomas Morley with the crème de la crème of romantic music: from Bruckner and Brahms to Mendelssohn and Rheinberger, the greats of music history are represented with their most beautiful works for choir. Famous settings of evening songs from all over Europe complete the program. The Berlin Cathedral Choir sings under the direction of Domkantor Adrian Büttemeier.
