From 6 to 11 May 2025, Teufelsberg in Berlin will become the stage for an extraordinary art project against violence against women.
Renowned street artist Jasmin Siddiqui, alias HERA, is collaborating with the ‘Violence Against Women’ helpline to create a large-scale mural that sends a strong message of solidarity, courage and empowerment.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the often taboo subject of gender-based violence and encourage affected women to take advantage of the anonymous, free and confidential counselling services offered by the helpline on 116 016.
The mural will be created on one of the largest walls of the Teufelsberg event location and will be officially unveiled on 10 May 2025. The Breathing Art Festival will take place at the same time, with a varied programme of events including yoga workshops and information stands about the helpline.
The artwork will be on display for at least one year during the regular opening hours of Teufelsberg:
Monday to Sunday and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., last admission one hour before sunset.
