Primavera / Asparagus Festival in Berlin Schöneberg

Once again this year, visitors can stroll, feast, shop and drink on Akazienstraße. Traditionally held on Mother's Day weekend, the Schöneberg neighbourhood celebrates its asparagus festival, transforming the popular street into a colourful promenade full of art, culture and family fun.

The reigning asparagus queen Maxi Hieman will be there on Sunday from 12 noon to around 3 p.m. to answer all your questions about asparagus.

At the Primavera / Asparagus Festival, you can buy freshly harvested and, if desired, peeled asparagus – to prepare at home or freshly cooked for consumption on the spot.
In addition to asparagus, the farmers will also be selling fresh strawberries, vegetables, oils, plants and herbs.

At over 100 stands, the popular exhibitors from the Schöneberg Pumpkin Festival and a number of new and interesting traders will be presenting their creations, collections and goods from all over the world.
A varied stage programme with live music, performances and dance will provide exciting entertainment. A highlight this year will be the performance by rock band Ella19.
There will also be plenty for younger visitors to enjoy, with a varied children's programme including a bouncy castle, bungee trampoline, carousel and much more.
Visitors can enjoy the colourful market atmosphere on Saturday, 10 May from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tip: the Apostle Paul Church will open its doors to visitors and music fans on both days.
