Large choir and orchestra concert
The Berliner Sing-Akademie, founded in 1791 as the "Art Society for Sacred Music," is considered the oldest mixed choir in the world. For the first time, men and women of all denominations sang polyphonic works together here.
To this day, it shapes Berlin's musical life with concerts, open rehearsals, lectures, and programs for all age groups. The association of dedicated members is committed to the ideals of the Enlightenment – with the goal of building bridges between research and practice, audiences and artists, tradition and modernity.
