Where can you experience nature in the heart of a big city like Berlin? The “Langer Tag der StadtNatur” nature festival features events at the city’s most beautiful natural sites. And the Cemetery of the March Fallen is one of them!
Starting at 11:00 a.m., the exhibition and memorial site will kick off with a creative activity:
Participants will make pinwheels out of bird feathers.
Anyone who’d like to can go on a little bird-watching excursion. Here, you can observe tame chickadees, nuthatches, robins, jays, blackbirds, owls, buzzards, and woodpeckers up close and undisturbed.
Starting at 1:30 PM, there will be a tree exploration tour for families, suitable for children ages 6–14.
