One in red. Seven in progress.
When is a piece finished? When is it ready to be put on stage and how does a piece live on even after the performance? In this evening of collected works seven pieces are put on stage that are in the making and one piece that is finished. A dialogue opens up on stage between the vulnerability of sharing parts of the creation process and the finality of a work completed.
All pieces share the confrontation with and investigation of forces that go beyond the individual or even human. They explore forces from within, conditions on the outside and what happens when those forces meet. Between violence and power to shame and rage, to chaos and connection – every piece searches for its own unexpected moments of relief, humour or poetry.
In the end, the pieces embark on journeys that raise more questions than provide answers, instead of marking a point of one single truth this collection of short pieces celebrates ongoing processes of research and exploration – processes that have to remain unfinished.
