THE BERLIN PROGRAM offers an opportunity to experience modernism and its development in all its complexity. The spectrum of the metropolis, marked by massive upheavals and divisions, ranges from the early reform movements of the 19th century, the emergence of “Elektropolis Berlin” to the New Building style of the 1920s and 30s, post-war modernism in East and West, late modernism of the 1960s and 70s, and post-modernism of the 1980s.
