Reform and new beginnings, renovation backlog and preservation, personal initiative and opposition - the old towns of the GDR were the scene of powerlessness and decay, but also dynamic places of social activation. The »City Turn« exhibition sheds light on the struggles and defeats surrounding the historic areas of the city, classifies them and shows different historical perspectives on the always topical question »How do we want to live?«
