The concert program "Together in One" explores the mystical longing for the divine, as found in all great spiritual traditions – beyond denominations, beyond dogma.

Mechthild of Magdeburg and Rumi, both Christian and Islamic mystics, sought the experience of the All-One in a very similar way. Their timelessly touching words are the inspiration and foundation of this musical-spiritual evening, in which music and mysticism, text and sound interweave into a sensual, soulful experience. Arabic melodies, jazzy harmonies, meditative soundscapes, and free improvisations converge – sustained by the idea of a common origin.

Syrian nay player Mohamad Fityan brings the delicate quarter tones of Arabic music to life with his virtuoso, emotional playing. Christian Grosch makes the organ sound like something from a cathedral, sometimes like something from a jazz cellar. Marcus Rust's trumpet sounds add breadth, color, and expressive depth, while Alaa Zouiten bridges the gap between the West and the East with the warm, earthy sound of the oud. Palestinian singer Eden Cami transforms words into sounds – praying, wailing, loving. Together they create a sonic space that transcends boundaries – both musically and spiritually.

An evening that invites you to reflect on what is essential: what unites us.
