silent green presents
Faitiche returns to silent green to present two album premieres: Andrew Pekler will perform his album New Environments & Rhythm Studies, released in June 2025, with an A/V show - and also Romeo Poirier will present his work Off The Record, due for release in October, for the first time in Berlin.
Roméo Poirier French Collagist Roméo Poirier is working in the field of electronic music & Plunderphonics, focusing on heavy processing of music & film samples.
Poirier's new album Off The Record, to be released on Oct 10 2025 on Faitiche, is an amusing romp through the discarded history of recording studios. It contains miniatures based on accidental recordings of studio talk, revealing things that were never meant for the public: we hear instructions from studio staff, scraps of talk between musicians, or just microphones being adjusted, as well as false notes, false starts. He will before Off The Record for the first time in Berlin.
Andrew Pekler
Andrew Pekler works with sampling and synthesis to produce texturally rich and sensually evocative sound compositions. He has also produced a number of video and installation works – always in combination with sound. Together with cultural anthropologist Kiwi Stefanie Menrath he developed PhantomIslands - A SonicAtlas, an interactive online map that charts the sounds and histories of a number of islands that were once found on nautical maps but have since disappeared..
New Environments & Rhythm Studies finds Andrew Pekler returning to the humid zones he explored on previous albums such as Sounds From Phantom Islands and Tristes Tropiques. Split between longer immersive compositions and shorter glimpse-like sketches, these 12 tracks feature new juxtapositions of Pekler's familiar palette of synthetic field recordings, warm, undulating electronic textures, shifting percussion patterns and serene melodies.
