Together with his band, guitarist Tom Holmes, bassist George Sullivan and drummer Chloe MacGregor, he has just radically renewed their sound. They made the walls of their studio shake for it, drawing inspiration from techno DJ sets on Boiler Room, the Beastie Boys or the Chemical Brothers. It wasn't the electronic subtleties that were important, but the energy that was set free in the process. That's what Talk Show wanted to achieve: "How do we make this dance music that sounds fucking massive, but make it on guitars?"
What they came up with was recorded in free sessions, which Swann says was "the most fun we've ever had." "Touch The Ground" continues the post-punk sound of their previous EPs, with which Talk Show earned their reputation, with new means. Having already convinced at the Tempelhof Sounds Festival in Berlin, Talk Show will come to Berlin in November for an exclusive club show.
