Album Release Celebration

On May 16, Berlin-based jazz singer Susanna Bartilla will celebrate the release of her fifth studio album, "My Shining Hour," at her favorite club, Kunstfabrik Schlot.

On it, she swings through the most beautiful standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as a few of her own compositions for the first time.

With her smoky, velvety voice, she creates a charming blend of the West Coast cool jazz of Anita O’Day, Juliette Gréco’s Parisian Rive Gauche flair, and the sensual timbre of the Blue Angel, Marlene Dietrich.

Susanna’s multifaceted voice brings a select repertoire of songs to life, telling stories that deeply move us all with just the right words and melodies. The vocalist exudes a warm, intimate stage presence that immediately captivates the audience.

Featuring:

Bene Aperdannier (piano), Thomas Koch (bass), Mike Segal (alto sax), Kenny Martin (drums), and Susanna Bartilla (vocals)
