A SUNDAY THING is a new local makers market for plants and flowers, ceramics, home accessories, kids wear and books, illustrations, design, textiles and more - hosted by Berlin's BITE CLUB, every second Sunday at Jules B-Part at Gleisdreieck.
Each market invites a different local, sustainable producer who produces in small series with a focus on expressive designs and natural materials. Among others, Plant Circle will open A SUNDAY THING with an indoor jungle of rare and well-known plants, planters and accessories; the designer Adele Howsen, who produces utilitarian objects bordering on sculptural with her ceramic label NAHK; the zero-waste food company Roots Radical with a selection of home-made pickles and ferments such as picalilli pickles, tomato broth, salt lemons or quince vinegar; or kelim soul with its unique cushions made from old, hand-woven kilims.
There will also be BITE CLUB food trucks, Bloody Marys and Mimosas, natural wine and craft beer, fresh juices and specialty coffee, a Kids Play Area and, from June, a changing programme of live music and DIY workshops.
From 8 May, every second Sunday, until 18 September 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
