Action Day in aid of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden
On 15 October, Dussmann will not only delight literature fans, but also music lovers. Several ensembles of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden will be guests and, in addition to a diverse musical programme with free admission, will also offer information about the programme of the season that has just begun.
Starting at 2 pm, the members of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Regina Koncz, Ekaterina Chayka-Rubinstein, Gonzalo Quinchahual and Friedrich Hamel will perform music by Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Donizetti and Gounod.
There will be chamber music with musicians from the Orchestra Academy, performances by Lindenbrass, the brass ensemble of the Staatskapelle Berlin, and performances by the Youth Choir and Apollo Choir. There will also be a screening of Mozart's "Mitridate, Re di Ponto", staged by Satoshi Miyagi - with a preliminary talk about the BAROCKTAGEN with artistic director Matthias Schulz.
The young talent development programme prepares young, talented singers for an artistically demanding career on the stages of musical theatre. Since its foundation in 2007, the members of the International Opera Studio have been supervised and comprehensively trained by conductor, pianist and vocal coach Boris Anifantakis. In addition to the daily study of vocal parts, language, movement and audition training as well as master classes, the members regularly appear in small and medium-sized roles on the big stage, in chamber operas as well as in concerts.
The proceeds of the Action Day go to the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
