On September 12, Berlin-Wedding will become the stage for a very special, self-organized festival: STADT LAND PANKE invites you to rediscover the places, projects, and people along the Panke River. For an entire day, workshops, cultural and social projects, organizations, gardens, and other venues between Schönwalder Straße and Badstraße will open their doors.

This isn’t a festival with a single venue, but rather an entire neighborhood coming together to form the program. Visitors can stroll through the neighborhood, discover new places, chat with local initiatives, or simply take a break by the water.

The program promises a colorful mix of art, culture, music, nature, and hands-on activities. Planned activities include open studios, performances and concerts, exhibitions, screen-printing and upcycling workshops, a Lego city of the future, a DIY marble run, and the chance to try out a 3D printer. There will also be flea market treasures, coffee and cake, waffles, soda, and opportunities to relax and linger. There are also plenty of activities for children and families.

The Panke River itself plays a special role. Walks across bridges, activities by the water, and open-air events make this small river the connecting element of the festival. Under the theme “CITY – COUNTRY – PANKE,” the focus is on neighborhood and community life, on nature in the heart of the city, and on the many hidden spots along the river.

Participants include, among others, Wiesenburg e.V., the Bibliothek am Luisenbad, Haus Bottrop, FVAJ e.V. with its Social Makerspace, the Pankonauten daycare center, the music club at the Albert Gutzmann School, the AWO Berlin-Mitte district association, and Panke Culture. Additional venues and initiatives are expected to join the lineup.
