This unique performance combines polyphonic choral singing with electronic beats to reinterpret well-known songs from different generations. This takes up musical memories and reflects them in a contemporary context that highlights the relevance of pop and subcultures in the collective memory.
SPIELHAGEN is renowned in Germany for breaking the mould of classical choral traditions and addressing themes such as diversity, community, and cultural openness. The ensemble has presented its musical style at international fashion shows, advertising campaigns and urban festivals.
This performance invites audiences to experience choral singing as an integral part of contemporary music culture, exploring the relationship between memory, identity, and media representation.
